What is Loxmetis?
Loxmetis is settlement intelligence software for plaintiff law firms. It pairs an AI assistant with structured case data — documents, medical records, demand context — so you can value cases faster, prep for mediation, and track outcomes against benchmarks.
How do I upload documents?
From the Document Vault inside a case, drag and drop files anywhere on the page, or use the "Upload" button. Supported formats include PDF, DOCX, XLSX, PPTX, JPG, PNG, HEIC, and TXT. Documents are processed in the background — you'll see a progress indicator and can keep working while ingestion completes.
How does AI chat work? What are personas?
AI chat lets you ask questions against the documents and metadata in the active case. Personas are pre-configured assistants tuned for specific tasks — a "Medical Reviewer" focuses on bills and treatment notes, while a "Mediation Prep" persona drafts opening statements. Pick a persona from the chat input or let the system auto-select based on your question.
How do I use the settlement calculator?
Open Toolbox → Settlement Calculator. Enter the gross settlement, attorney fees (percentage or flat), case costs, liens (medical, subrogation), and any advances. The calculator computes net to the firm, net to the client, and a per-plaintiff breakdown when multiple plaintiffs are configured. Results auto-save to the case and can be exported as PDF.
How do I invite team members?
From Settings → Administration → Users, click "Invite User." Enter the team member's email and assign a role (Admin, Attorney, Paralegal, Read-Only). They'll receive a magic-link invite valid for 7 days. Admins can re-send or revoke invites at any time.
How do I manage my subscription and billing?
Billing is managed by org admins under Settings → Billing. You can change your tier, update payment method, download invoices, and see usage against your monthly quota. Most plan changes apply at the next billing cycle; downgrades take effect at renewal.
How do I contact support?
Three options: (1) click Help & Support in the app nav to open a tracked ticket; (2) email support@loxmetis.com; (3) for urgent issues affecting active case work, flag it in the support form — we respond within one business day.
What file types are supported for upload?
Documents: PDF (incl. scanned), DOCX, DOC, RTF, TXT, Markdown, HTML. Spreadsheets: XLSX, XLS, CSV. Slides: PPTX, PPT. Images: JPG, PNG, HEIC, GIF, WEBP, TIFF. Email: EML, MSG. Audio (transcribed): MP3, M4A, WAV. The system handles bundles up to ~2 GB per upload and processes pages individually so large medical-record sets ingest reliably.
Is my data secure?
Yes. All data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3). Documents are scoped to the case and org; AI prompts never leave our infrastructure unredacted. We follow ABA Model Rule 1.6 guidance on confidentiality and offer per-org data-isolation controls for sensitive matters. See our Privacy Policy for detailed practices.
